You can register quickly and easily through our online portal or over the phone. Once you provide the necessary details, we’ll send your login credentials to access your personal portal.

. What types of payroll models do you offer?

We provide tailored payroll solutions, including PAYE, CIS, Umbrella, and Hybrid models, designed to meet various employment and compliance needs.

. How does Bunobair ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation?

We adhere to HMRC regulations, including IR35, MSC, and AWR, and conduct regular compliance checks. Our team stays up-to-date with legislation to ensure your payroll is always compliant.

. Supervision, Direction, and Control (SDC)

Introduced in April 2016, the Supervision, Direction, and Control (SDC) legislation helps clarify self-employment status. Contractors working under SDC cannot participate in the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) or claim travel and subsistence expenses.


If a worker’s SDC status is unclear, they must complete a questionnaire to determine if their work is controlled externally. At Bunobair, we guide workers through this process. If they are told how, where, and when to work, they are considered under SDC and cannot claim certain expenses.


Supervision: Overseeing a worker to ensure tasks are done correctly or assisting skill development.


Direction: Providing instructions or guidance on how tasks should be performed.


Control: Dictating the tasks, methods, and priorities for the worker. If any one of these elements applies, the contractor falls under SDC. For example, receiving a brief from a client doesn't indicate SDC, provided the contractor determines how to achieve the desired outcome independently.


HMRC uses SDC to assess employment status under various legislations, such as IR35, and to decide eligibility for expense tax relief. If deemed subject to SDC, contractors may be placed on payroll by agencies.

Our Hybrid model is ideal for workers who switch between employed and self-employed placements. It ensures compliance with SDC (Supervision, Direction, and Control) tests and allows tax relief on travel for multi-site engagements.
